Following its successful openings in the Middle East with three locations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Boardwalk continues its expansion with it first location in Baghdad, scheduled to open October 2015. The Baghdad Boardwalk location, to be opened by Franchisee HTS Enterprises, LLC, Boardwalk's Iraq Area Developer Franchisee (excluding Kurdistan) will be located in the food court of the new Oasis Mal, directly across from Baghdad University.
Other neighborhood centers are being considered in Baghdad for future development in the Baghdad districts of Al Mansour, Karrada, and Kadhimya, as well as areas in southern part of Iraq in the cities of Najaf, Karbalah and Basra. Consideration for expansion also include cities in the region of Kurdistan, including Erbil, the capital of the Kudristan region and its largest city; Sulaymaniya in Iraqi Kurdistan, and Duhok, the capital of Dohuk Governorate in Kurdistan and part of Iraqi Kurdistan.

Adding to its development in Riyadh, Boardwalk's Multi-unit Developer has expanded its area by signing a second agreement with Boardwalk to develop the entire country of Saudi Arabia. Two Boardwalk restaurants opened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; June, 2014 at Tahksosy Road, and October 2014 at the Azizyah Complex in the Maazar District; with the third location to open this month. The successful openings and sales for these first two locations led the developer to enter into a second development agreement for the remaining territories of Saudi Arabia.
The Multi-Unit Franchise Restaurateur for Boardwalk originally committed to open at least seven restaurants in Riyadh, and now, with the signing of this new development agreement for all of Saudi Arabia, has committed to no less than an additional 5 restaurants.
